Professional Development Sessions

AUSIT has a deep commitment to enhancing the professional status of its members. As such, the Institute requires members to adhere to the appropriate professional code of conduct and ethical guidelines, and places a growing emphasis on the need for, and importance of, Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Over the years, the Institute has played an important role, and made considerable progress, in steering translating away from amateurism towards professionalism. AUSIT partners with professional training providers, academic institutions and practitioners to provide its members with regular, high-quality and varied menu of continuing professional development events in each of the state branches as well as nationally. These events can be attended in person, or as online webinars.

CPD events vary from high profile courses offered by universities and one-day mini-conferences, through workshops and webinars to regular networking events such as Chat Breakfasts. These events add to the knowledge store of the practitioners, provide points for NAATI revalidation, are core to information sharing and networking, and make a welcome addition to the attendees' resumes.

Details of upcoming events can be viewed on our events calendar. In addition, AUSIT members receive electronic notification of CPD events and relevant information via email.
