Joining an AUSIT group on Yahoo

Note: only AUSIT members are invited to join.
Subscription to an AUSIT group on Yahoo is a benefit of the AUSIT membership.

   1. Send a blank e-mail message to the group you want to join by clicking on the appropriate link below:

     2. You then receive a message with more information and details of participation (e.g. your subscription) 

     3. To send a message to the group, you send an e-mail to the name of the group. As a susbcriber to the Arabic group, for instance, you need to send an e-mail message to AUSIT-Arabic-eForum@yahoogroups.com.
In other words, to send a message to any group that you already subscribe to, just use the appropriate address above, but remove the hyphen and the word "subscribe" which precede the @.

     4. Whenever a group member posts a message, you receive this as an e-mail in your letterbox. You can also opt for a daily digest: one big e-mail instead of many. You can receive a single summarising message a day by simply sending a message as above (once you've subscribed), replacing the word "subscribe" with "digest".

     5. If you want to stop your messages coming when you go away, send a message as above, but put in the word "nomail", e.g. AUSIT-Arabic-eForum-nomail@yahoogroups.com When you come back and wish to re-join, send this message: AUSIT-Arabic-eForum-normal@yahoogroups.com .

      6. If you want to change the e-mail address that you use to subscribe to any of AUSIT's Yahoo groups, you can actually do it yourself through the Yahoogroups.com website as long as you have your own Yahoo profile.  Alternatively, you can simply resubscribe from your new address using the general subscribing instructions.  If you are no longer able to unsubscribe from your old address because it has been disconnected, you can ask your AUSIT Yahoo groups manager at ausityahoo@optusnet.com.au to take care of this.
